Jim Mayfield - Pastor

Jim Mayfield is our Pastor.  He has served in numerous churches across Texas as a pastor, youth minister and associate pastor.  He grew up in East Texas and graduated from Texas A & M Texarkana with degree in business and education and graduated with a Bachelor degree in theology from Texas Baptist Institute and Seminary. He believes the serious eternal issues we share with God should be tempered with a sense of humor that is rooted in unspeakable joy.  Jim and wife, Jill, are committed to bringing healing counsel and comfort to the hurting, encouraging Spiritual growth for God’s people and a ministry which leads the lost to a desire for forgiveness and new birth.

Enrique Pedrido - Hispanic Ministries Pastor

Pastor Enrique Pedrido was born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1958. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1980 where he met his wife, Zoila Pedrido who was born in Cali, Colombia. They have two beautiful daughters, Vanessa and Nathalie, and three adorable grandchildren, Dylan, Mathias and Camilia. In 1992, he and his family accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. He was ordained in August of 2002 by the Union Baptist Association and has worked in Spanish ministry since then. Pastor Enrique is a man of prayer and of great passion for the work of the Lord.

Thomas Bloomer - Youth Minister

Thomas has been a part of the Oak Lake family since he was just a little kid.  God has given him the heart and passion for the youth.  Thomas has been not only a student but also a counsellor for many years.  He brings his experience and desire to teach the Word of God to a group of teens that are seeking to become more like God everyday.

Pam Wersler - Children's Director

Pam Wersler accepted the Lord when she was 17 years old. She went to Bob Jones University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Pre-School. Later, she earned a Master of Science degree in Education Administration from Pensacola Christian College. Pam and her husband David have served on the home mission field in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania where he was the pastor at Antrim Baptist Church in Antrim, PA. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.  Pam has taught for thirty-three years in public and private schools on different levels and with special needs children. Her desire is to see children learn about the Lord and come to know Him as their Savior and go on to love and serve him fully.
